Building New Pathways

In celebration of Black Theatre Coalition’s Fellowship program, we present Building New Pathways.

Building New Pathways provides an inside look at all that Black Theatre Coalition has accomplished this past year. Against all odds, amidst the shutdown of theatre and a global pandemic, Black Theatre Coalition increased the number of working Black professionals in the American Theatre.
While many made statements, Black Theatre Coalition made history. This work can only materialize when supporters, accomplices, and corporate partners invest in the work.
Mobilizing. Implementing. Transforming.
This evening will shine a light on the 30 fellows and apprentices making Black History right now.
Building New Pathways will also feature conversations with the co-founders, up-close dialogues with current Fellows, and highlight our partnership with COMPANY on Broadway.
With performances and speeches by International recording star and Grammy Award winner Vanessa Williams, ABC News’ Deborah Roberts, Tony Award nominee Norm Lewis, Star of GLEE and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Alex Newell, Tony Award Winner La Chanze, Grammy Award winner Kenneth Overton, Grammy Award winner Wynton Marsalis and more.
